I remember it well. I was a million months pregnant with my last baby and in my last week of work. I felt big as a house, my ankles were swollen, and I had other gastric issues from the baby taking up all that room. One afternoon I got a call to go up to the VP’s office. I was too worn out to take the stairs, so I waited took the elevator. As I was waiting for the doors to open, I could feel an urge to pass gas, but I was able to hold it back. When the doors opened, I got into an empty elevator, thank God, and, as soon as the doors closed, I let it rip. It was loud, it echoed, and it didn’t smell all too pretty either. The doors opened on the second floor, and I started to walk out. For some reason, I turned as I exited, and standing in the corner was a man I hadn’t noticed.

Kit: Feeling Wonderful by Julie O. Week 4 is done, there's just 2 weeks left to the race. This time we needed to scrap about Girl Talk. My LO features a shower we threw for our best friend, Holly to celebrate her new boobs. Another friend scornfully called it a "celebration to vanity", but if you can't celebrate vanity with your best friends, they're not very good friends. The kit is Pour Me Another by Khristy Schmidt. I've been dying to use this one! Then we had to send the LO to our partner to finish it up. The trick comes in if you don't have the same kit. Then, to protect copyright, you needed to send the flattened .jpg. Fortunately, Chelsea is also on Karie's CT and Karie so thoughtfully provided us with some new material to work with, so we both chose to use Southern Belle (available at Seaside Scraps). I volunteered to do this one. We had to do a messy layout, which was really hard for me at first, with at least 15 elements, no more than two by the same designer. Well, once you stick 15 elements by different designers in there, things get messy all by themselves. I'm proud to say we have 17 elements from 13 designers, plus 1 element by me. In spite of my little Benedryl problem (long story, but it's on my blog if you want to read it), I managed to get it finished before I went to bed. I just didn't have the energy to actually upload it anywhere, until now. The kit is Lazy Autumn Dayz by Scrapz by Mz. Cora. The font is Freehand Script.

The Pumpkin Patch

Once upon a time a little girl named Caitlyn lived with her mom and dad, her brothers and sister, in a Southern land ruled by a giant mouse [note: I kill myself sometimes, lol]. One day Mommy drove them to a place with strange orange things all over the ground. Mommy sat her down in the middle of some scratchy stuff, so she tried to walk away, only to be put back. Finally she did "cheese" so Mommy would leave her alone.

After that they walked around the orange things. Caty noticed some where small enough to pick up. She stooped to get one, then another, then one more.

"Caitlyn, don't throw the pumpkins on the ground!"

Caty was upset. The naughty pumpkins were jumping out of her arms. She wasn't throwing them.

Finally Mommy found the "perfect" pumpkins and put them on top of the microwave when they got home to "keep them safe." But Caitlyn had other ideas. She didn't know when or how, but she was going to get those big orange balls one day soon.

The End

(for now)

I can't wait to see our fourth challenge on Sunday. Thanks to KB & Friends for hosting this leg of the race and their beautiful participation gift.

Lori

Challenge #2's Done!

This is Chels, posting our 2nd challenge.
